Civil War letters, 1863.

Two letters with envelopes written home to Darke County by Isaac Schnorf, serving in Murfreesboro and Tullhoma, Tennessee. Also includes a small note and a memorial written about John D. Grissom who died of illness contracted while serving with the 94th O.V.I. In his eight-page July, 1863 letter, Schnorf writes of Rosencrans campaign to drive the Confederates out of East Tennessee and praises commander "Big bellyed [Alexander McD.] McCook" and his generals.
